Wat Phra Phuttabhat Bua Bok
Phra Phuttabhat Bua Bok is located close to Phu Phrabat Historical Park and contains a footprint of Buddha inside the Chedi which resembles the famous pagoda of Wat Phra That Phanom in Nakhon Phanom Province. We visited this temple once as one of the first temples covered on these pages in 2002 and again in 2008 when we had visited almost 900 temples. We did this also with a completely different feeling and attitude, since we have learned so much about Buddhism from the monks and abbots we have gotten to know over all these years. There are several other chedis and structures in the temple and several Buddha images and stone formations can be seen right behind the main pagoda. A peaceful place in the middle of a very rural Isan.
