Wat Umphang Dhammaram

After having visited the beautiful country with it's waterfalls in Umphang (actually one of the most impressive memories in my far travelled life) we went to Wat Umphang Dhammaram to pay our respect to the Buddha. To our surprise the Abbot of the temple quickly came out, presented us with some Buddha amulets, and disappeared again without a word. The temple sits on the slope of the hill high above Umphang town. The temple also offers homestay places for visitors.
