Wat Chon Prathan Rangsan
Wat Chon Prathan Rangsan was a real treat for us since we came across the temple by taking a wrong turn in Tak province. We had an amazing visit here since the temple just celebrated Loi Krathong, the light festival on that night. Hundreds of small oil lamps were placed around the temple ground forming long lines of candle lights. In the temple building a prayer was conducted during the day mostly with elderly people. Three beautiful old Buddha images, said to be over 1000 years old, had been moved to this location from a former temple, which was flooded by the construction of Bhumipol Dam and Lake.
