Wat Phra That Phu Tab
Along Highway 11 on a small hill is Wat Phra That Phu Tab, which we visited in December of 2007. Construction was going on to dismantle an unfinished large building, right next to the Chedi. The abbot of the temple noticed us visiting and came up to speak with us. He told us that the temple initially planned to build a large structure but then ran out of funds, hence the dismantling. The Phra That (the pagoda) is said to contain a bone from the right shoulder of Lord Buddha.
