Phra That Chom Chaeng
We are actually not sure if this site is called Phra That Chom Chaeng. A local farmer gave us this name when we asked. Posted signs before the sight said Wat Bo Kaeo, but this temple could be further in the woods. This lonely pagoda with a Buddha statue to the side is located in the district of Na Muen along highway 1026 in southern Nan. The area here is really beautiful and 1026 actually turned into a really bad dirt road and then ended completely due to the Sirikit Lake. While construction of a paved road to Uttradit is planned we had a great experience by crossing the lake on a float. Given that Phra That Chom Chaeng was our last temple to visit in Nan, it ended a great tour through one of the most beautiful provinces of Thailand!
