Wat Ban Nam Kam
Wat Ban Nam Kam is another temple showing mural paintings in the area of That Phanom. We were told about this temple in Wat Puttha Sima which is literally just around the corner but it took us a long time to get to it on the winding roads through rice fields and villages. The paintings here are more "structured" than in Wat Puttha Sima and grouped into small frames. The old building also contained three large Buddha images facing east. To the side of the Sala is a newer Ubosot building with more modern murals. Wat Ban Nam Kam is a small traditional temple with the old people bringing food and eating in the temples with the monks.
