Wat Roi Phra Bat Phu Manorom
Wat Roi Phra Bat Phu Manorom is located on the hill overlooking the city of Mukdahan and the Mekong River. From here one has the best view into Laos. A large parking lot indicates the large number of Thai visitors on holidays and weekends. During the rainy season it is a very quiet place. Besides several Buddha images, covered by metal roofs, the footprint of Buddha and an old but small chedi, there is not much else to see. However, a new visitor platform below the temple and signs for donations with a plan to build a much bigger chedi could mean that this quiet place will change someday in the future.
