Wat Phra That Phanom
That Phanom is located on the Mekong River, which borders Laos. The Chedi of Wat Phra That Phanom is the main reason for visitors to travel all the way to the far east of Thailand. The site of the temple itself is filled with history, with the first building here being erected 8 years after the death of Buddha (over 2500 years ago). The spire of the Chedi is made of 16kg of pure gold.
