Wat Nakhon Tham
Wat Nakhon Tham in the district of Watthana Nakhon was the only other temple we were able to visit in Sa Kaeo province. The old wooden Viharn is a real special place and contains several beautiful Buddha images. The largest and most revered image is Luang Phor Khao, which is covered completely with gold leaves. As are the other images in the Viharn. The Buddha is made from white earth, hence his name (Khao means white). We visited late in the day and still found friendly monks who assisted us when we had questions. A great temple, just a bit far off the normal track.
