Wat Sri Maha Mongkon

Wat Sri Maha Mongkon is a temple we had looked for on a previous trip and were not able to find it. Reason was that the temple is better known as Wat Nasai. In the district of Lom Kao are actually three temples with the same or a similar name of Wat Sri Maha Mongkon, which doesn't make things any easier. Asking local people we actually got sent into opposite directions. But we finally found it and got the Ubosot opened for us. The temple is well known for its excellent murals which cover the inside walls as well as the front of the building. The murals were indeed some of the finest we had seen on our temple tour through the Kingdom.
