Wat Luang Ratcha Santan

Wat Luang Ratcha Santan was the first temple we visited on our second trip to Phayao. It is located right in the center of the city. The monks were busy with the preparations for the Loy Krathong festival but opened the temple building for us which contains a few Buddha images and old mural paintings on the wood panels above the walls. Unfortunately the colors are fading and they are hardly visible now. On the outside of the building are some nice wood carvings above the front door and to the sides of it.
