Wat Sri Mongkon Thai
Wat Sri Mongkon Thai is the third temple which is located on the River and in the vicinity of the Indochina market. It houses the historic Buddha statue Phra Chao Ong Luang, a beautiful Lan Chang-style Buddha. Early records date the construction of the temple back to A.D. 1767. During our recent visits in 2007 and 2008 the smaller Buddha images in the front of Phra Chao Ong Luang had been removed.
