Wat Bun Goed

Wat Bun Goed

A real temple treat is Wat Bun Goed in Dok Kham Tai district of Phayao. It is located in the center of the mid-size village and we were really looking forward to finally visit it. Inside the large Viharn is a group of Buddha images who are stacked up behind the back wall. The whole group of Buddha images is called Phra Phutta Chao 28 Phra Ong. Each image has its own name and meaning. Also the two storey Ubosot is beautifully carved and decorated. We visited the temple at the end of the Buddhist lent and local people were busy preparing for temple festivals but happily engaged in long talks with us.
