Wat Chiang Ban
As we left the town of Chiang Kham after a long day of temple visits we saw this "last temple" of the day in a corner of the road and turned around. The temple was closed already for the day but magically several novices ran to get the key, open the temple and turn the lights on for us. We had never experienced such pro-active friendliness before. Several beautiful Buddha images lined the altar of the Ubosot and many many temple banners (tungs) were hanging from the high ceiling of the building. Outside the building is a large white chedi with niches which contain standing Buddha images.
