Wat Bong Mai

Wat Bong Mai was the last temple we visited on our way to Phu Sang waterfall back in the hidden corners of Phayao. This temple is very much a community center for the local people. When we visited in November 2008 many elderly women were preparing a temple festival on the following day. A large white Buddha image sits inside the Ubosot. Outside the temple local people are selling their crafts and woven products.
