Wat Rong Ngae
Wat Rong Ngae for us is one of the highlights when travelling to the North and to the province of Nan. Hidden behind the houses of a beautiful village, which actually got the Award of Outstanding Performance for Cultural Tourist Attractions in 2008, lies this beautiful small temple. The temple is about 250 years old and contains excellent examples of northern style Buddha images, preaching chairs and murals. A real treat and well maintained. There is also several monks and novices at the temple, so it is a living example of a real village temple.
