Wat Nak Lum

At Wat Nak Lum you feel like the modern world ends and only mountains, hilltribes and rivers continue. We celebrated Loy Krathong of 2009 here (yes really!) and came back during the daytime to see the temple. There is really just one building which is a typical village temple. People here are also not used to visitors, specially from outside Thailand. Further up the road we even had childred line up along the street to wai us traditionally because they thought we were high ranking officials who make it all the way back here. However, there is lots to see back here in terms of nature.
