Wat Pho Chai

It took us several trips to Khon Kaen before we were finally able to find Wat Pho Chai in November 2008. Local people call the temple different names or don't even know of it's existence. When we finally visited we had a long talk with the abott of the temple who explained us more about it's history. We were specially delighted to be able to pay our respect to the ancient Buddha statue of Luang Pu Yai, which is said to be over 500 years old and is completely covered with gold leaves.
