Wat Tha Thong Mai

Wat Tha Thong Mai was a temple we passed twice on the way to the district of Kanchanadit so we decided to stop and visit it. There was substantial renovation work going on in the temple which added a lot of cement elements to the old Ubosot structure. To our surprise a huge pig was "protecting" the Ubosot and followed us around as we paid our respect to the old Buddha image inside. Despite the renovation work we loved some of the elements of the temple like the roof decoration as well as the cloister of the Ubosot which contained several beautiful Buddha images.
