Big Buddha - Luang Phor To

When driving to Nang Kam beach on the eastern side of Don Sak we came across a big Buddha image. It is a beautiful white image of Luang Phor To, an image you will find all over Thailand in various forms. At this spot here it is located high above the ridge which overlooks the point there the ferry leaves for Ko Samui island. A long line of vehicles is usually waiting for their departure. A large Buddha image like this one is usually built in order to protect the business on it's land, which would be the ferry line to the island Ko Samui.
