Wat Sam Pan

Continuing from Wiang Sa to Phra Saeng district on the way further South, we visited Wat Sam Pan. Again, we wanted to pay our respect to the Phra Pratan Buddha image of the temple and to our surprise the venerable abbot of Wat Phatthanaram was visiting the temple and engaged into a long talk with us and gave us more details on the temple's and the Buddha image's history. Luckily we also learned more about Wat Phatthanaram and the highly revered Luang Phor Phat.
