Hor Phra Buddha Sihing

Phra Buddha Sihing of Nakhon Si Thammarat was the main reason for our journey down to the South of Thailand. It is the palladium Buddha image of the province and of great significance. Surprisingly we were allowed to take photography inside the hall, unlike inside the museum of Wat Phra Maha That or for example in the Phra Buddha Sihing shrine in Chonburi. According to the legend this Buddha image is said to be created around 157 A.D. in Sri Lanka but there are differing opinions about that. Just like about the location of the original of this image.
