Wat Intakiri

We had an interesting visit to Wat Intakiri on our way to Nakhon Si Thammarat. It was actually the first temple in the province we visited and we were on the look out for a Phra Buddha Sihing image. We had listened to many stories about this image and several copies which existed and Wat Intakiri actually has a beautiful image of Phra Buddha Sihing which was created by local craftsmen. It is now securely locked away but we were allowed to see it and to pay our respect. However, we refrained to take pictures of it, hence the picture below shows a copy of the Emerald Buddha instead.
