Wat Phanien Daek
In May 2009 we went back to Nakhon Pathom to visit a series of temples known for it's famous monks and highly revered Buddha amulets. Wat Phanien Daek was our first one to visit. Luang Phor Tha and his amulets have been recommended to us by a high ranking police official in Bangkok and renting (selling) a wide variety of images was the center point in this large temple. Only the modern viharn was open to pay our respect to the presiding Buddha images. Luang Phor Buddha Maha Mongkhon Nimit, a 200 year old Buddha statue was the main Buddha in the viharn.
