Wat Khokkham
Wat Khok Kham has a few interesting building, like the old prayerhall, which is now very much in need to be renovated. It was locked too because we were told there is really nothing interesting inside. A new and much larger Ubosot had been build to the side of it. The real reason for us to visit this temple was the Chiang Saen-style Buddha image of Phra Buddha Sihing, or as it is called here Luang Phor Samrit. The abbot of the temple granted us access to the Buddha in order for us to pay our respect. It's a beautiful and important Buddha image and we were lucky to get to see it from up close, unlike all of the other Phra Buddha Sihing images across Thailand.
