Wat Hong Ratanaram 

An amazing temple, Wat Hong Ratanaram Rajaworawithan is located in Bangkok Yai, on the other side of the river. It is an old temple, dating back to the Ayutthaya-period and serves as an important center of religious studies. The abbot of the temple showed me so many details, most importantly the beautiful statue of the Lan Chang Buddha image of Phra Saen and the Sukhothai-style image of Phra Buddha Room Thong Boran. Both of these I promised I would not show on these pages. The main prayer hall is beautifully decorated with mural paintings.
