Wat Phai Ngoen Chotanaram
Wat Phai Ngoen Chotanaram houses a beautiful late-Sukhothai-style Buddha image, called Luang Phor Samrit. It is housed in the Viharn, which is accessible and full of worshippers at all times. The Buddha image was brought down from the North along with another image called Phra Sukhothai Trimitr. The temple and the Buddha image are very much revered by locals. The taxi driver who brought me here was visibly happy when he heard about my destination (the norm in Thailand is that the taxi driver refuses to drive you where YOU want to go) and he got out of his car himself for a merit-making visit.
