Wat Anongkharam Worawihan
Wat Anongkharam had been on our list for a long time and we have visited it several times since our first visit, where we became friends with a local monk in the temple. The temple was built in 1850 in dedication for King Rama III. Our initial reason to visit the temple was to pay our respect to the Sukhothai Buddha image of Phra Chulanark, which had been brought down from Sukhothai. In a private visit we were also able to admire the beautiful Ubosot of the temple and visited the library and a very good museum which displays artifacts and information about the district of Khlong Sarn. A very special place which we go back to regularly.
