The Ancient City of Wiang Kum Kam Wat Chiang Kam (Wat Kanthom)
Wat Chiang Kam was finally more than just the bare remains of ancient walls. There is only so many we can see in one trip, so we finally were glad to come across this temple which offered a small visitor area displaying Thai rural country style, an old ruined temple and right next to it a still in use temple building. I assumed it was one temple all together since we didn't see another sign for the other one. Initially named Wat Kanthom because of it's founder this temple was built in 1290 AD. The modern part consists of a beautiful small viharn and a chedi behind it with lots of details to see.
