The Ancient City of Wiang Kum Kam Wat Chedi Liam
Wat Chedi Liam is the clear main attraction of Wiang Kum Kam (and the assembly point of the tours). The Mon-style Chedi gives the temple it's name, referring to the square shape. Five tiers of the Chedi contain 60 niches for standing Buddha images. The nearby Viharn is very attractive with it's wooden beams and mural's and adds to the atmosphere of the temple. Similar Chedi's exist in Wat Payawat in Nan and Wat Ku Kut in Lamphun.
